AbandonWare is apparently:
"Abandonware is computer software that is no longer sold or supported, or whose copyright ownership may be unclear for various reasons. While the term has been applied largely to older games, other classes of software are sometimes described as such."

So pretty much it means you now have a new category of free games besides freeware games, mainly the classic games. Which is good for those who enjoyed classic games and want a memory refresh. Only problem I can se is Incompatible hardware and OS with older games.
Heres a few sites I've found but I am sure if you google Abandonware you'll find more collection/archive sites with abandonware games and software etc.

There are so many...
ReplyDeleteOne of the best old games website i found. Squakenet is very good , but sometimes the partners don't have the download. This website has got lots of rare abandonwares. And some mainstream. For example they are the only who posted Dr Drago... after HOTU of course.
